don't you think, since we're going to field turf and all, that we should go to gray turf with red line painting?? I just kind of thought of that now and I kinda thought you know that would be really weird and I figured some of you wouldn't like it. But, I don't know what to think about it.

Personally, I would rather stay with natural grass, but since we have no choice in going to field turf, I say we go crazy and get gray turf with red line painting with a big Block O in the center as we have now.

Does anyone know if that is even possible?

I think it would be cool...could be really ugly...but cool

they will probably just do regular green.

that would be ugly but also pretty cool at the same time though. Have you ever seen a Boise State game on TV? My eyes hurt after watching it because of the blue LOL

That's what my first thought was when opening this thread. ;)

That would look cool...really not ugly at all.

Yeah, that's one cool stadium. Very intimidating, I can tell you that.

next...we paint the locker rooms red?

That sounds extraordinarily daft. The Ohio State University does not, nor should it ever contemplate emulating a mid-major with color blindness.

I like the idea about the field and the locker room. But we don't need fans from other teams saying we stole their ideas. I think they need to come up with somthing thas just Ohio State and no one elses. But I thik the turf will be fine by opening weekend nexk season it will give time to hold to the ground.

Oregon's turf is two-tone green in five yard intervals. I wonder what the Shoe would look like with two-tone, scarlet and gray turf? :confused

YEAH!!! Two-tone looks really cool. I really like Oregon's turf. I wouldn't mind having turf like theirs, personally. Somebody please do two-tone turf w/ the endzones both scarlet!! That would make my day!!

I agree with the above..Two tone green looks real nice!..the red and gray is a bit too much red..

tHE TWO TONE TURF DOES LOOK REALLY NICE, I AGREE. It is crisp and sharp looking on the tube. I would go for colorful endzones, as well. Make the logo pop in the center of the field as well. It's easier to figure how much yardage gained by the ballcarrier, too.

I think that would look sweet. visiting teams would be in a cloud the 1st quarter just from the "scarlet sea"

I agree completely.

The changes I wouldn't mind seeing are:

A Scarlet Block O bordered in Black & Gray on the 50.

Scarlet Endzones with Gray Lettering bordered in Black.

Boise State has a long history of trying to make a statement with the way they present themselves. back in the 80's, their basketball floor was painted in a funky manner that is now common practice in College & The NBA.

I remember when I saw the Blue Turf the first time, I thought there was something wrong with my TV.

You do have to give Boise credit for building a really solid mid-major football program.

The field should be green. Really, the field should be grass but the case is already closed on that one. As long as they keep the big O in the middle of the field and keep the end zones the same, all will be well. If they try to get cute and put something retarded out there, all will be hell.

I can't speak for anyone else but I was being tongue-in-cheek suggesting a scarlet and gray playing surface. Of course it should be green, but scarlet and gray endzones would be cool.

Green for me. I'll go with Scarlet and Gray EZs as well though.

Wow....too much red for my taste

I wouldn't mind seeing red endzones since the sunlight can't kill the grass with the turf

Boise only went to blue turf because they couldn't stop flocks of geese from crapping all over the field, and the blue made the geese think they were over water. (true story)

A scarlet field is just plain cheesy and not worth considering at a place like Ohio Stadium. This isn't the ****ing Arena League.

As long as the grass is green and natural it will be the best you can have.

That is an intimidating looking stadium. But I think we should stick to green. Actually, I wish we would have kept the natural grass. The field turf doesn't grow long enough.
