Tons of talk down here about Coach Rod leaving WVU for Bama.
Rumours are swirling about Bama offering multiple years at 3 million per . Its also popular opinion that WVU cant possibly match that dollar figure.
This may be a dumb question, but how high could or would we go to keep JT ? Could we go 3 Million per season if we had to?

I would think that if the money wasn't in their budget they would just raise the price of tickets a few bucks to cover the coaches raise.

I'd imagine tOSU could go higher than that if they wanted to...
I see no reason that Bama and/or WVU would be able to pay a coach more than THE Ohio State University could!

Exactly. This is Ohio State. They've got the money to keep Tressel. Thank goodness we're not WVU, where they don't have the money to keep their coaches.

Nobody said anything about Tress considering Bama...
The poster was just asking if OSU has the ability to offer THEIR coach more than the amounts he's hearing about other coaches being offered...

You will get a good feel for how much OSU can pay JT after his contract is renegotiated, which process will likely begin 1/9/2007.
