Before I get started, let me make it clear that I am 100% against having to play Michigan again. We played in our regular season finale, #1 vs #2, the winner going to the BCS Title Game and the loser going to another BCS Bowl. We won, they lost, and that should be the end of the story. However, the cards are falling into Michigan's favor, and it appears that it is going to happen; a rematch in the National Championship. However, there are some bright points about this occurence:

1.) We have the opportunity to beat Michigan TWICE in the same football season! Can you imagine the stability of the scUM fanbase having to lose 6 out of 7 and twice in the same season? What would LLLLLoyd's excuse be? Would he be out of a job? I would love to have bragging rights of that magnitude for the course of an entire year.

2.) This may be the only way we will get a playoff system in tack. We have heard Urban Meyer and Tommy Tuberville complain nonstop about the need for a playoff system and the strength of the SEC playing against their chances of a National Title hope. I believe that having a BCS Title Game pairing two teams in the SAME conference who JUST played each other would be more of an indicator of how messed up the BCS is than anything imaginable. If we will ever see a playoff in college football, it will be because of the tOSU/scUM rematch in the Title Game.

First of all, take the other approach: Michigan wins in Glendale on a neutral field in prime conditions. What does November 18th prove? The NC game just cheapened the entire college football season because of a rematch that never should have happened. In this case, Louisville deserves more of a shot than Florida (assuming they lose) and Michigan. At least Louisville didn't lose their season finale

Second, the only way a playoff happens is if the NCAA makes it happen, because the university presidents will not give up the 200 million dollars the bowl games generate. The NCAA forces it, these 65 schools that form the Big Six would consider breaking away from the NCAA

This has no end to debate however, but thats how I feel

I'll say this right now...when/if we play Michigan in the championship we will win, we will convincingly(14+), and I will be there to see it.

Just let me add again that I am totally against The Rematch, but it does have some perks.

Sorry, they had their chance and blew it......Call it what you want but its not a rematch its a do over..............I don't wanna play them because I want those elistist fans to suffer and choke on that loss like we did during the 90's so many times. Stop the insanity and quit supporting this game..........Nov 18th was a waste of time I guess......

Did I miss something? Who is supporting the game? How many times do I have to say that I am 100% AGAINST a rematch.

I don't know how it's going to turn out either, but if you put either UF or ARK on the field with OSU or MICH it's a Big Ten butt whipping.

BEFORE scUM gets a rematch against us, they need to get a solid victory over Ball State on a neutral field. scUM's argument that they are as good as us is based on a narrow loss on our home field. Well Ball State came closer to beating scUM on scUM's home field than scUM did beating us, so make them go play Ball State again.......or heck, let all the one loss teams go have a little mini playoff to see who deserves to play us.

a rematch totally cheqpens the huge win on Nov. 18th. The Game apparently meant nothing this year

Rematch or no rematch, The Game still means something. It means 5-1 baby!

I am not for a Michigan rematch but come on every team has a close game once in awhile against a team they should blow out including tOSU that is a lame excuse for a not having a rematch.
