Our strength of schedule won't win us any points this year!

The 2007 schedule isn't the greatest. However, OSU is one of a few teams that has and will schedule big name interconference games. USC is next up for a home and away followed by Miami.

Yeah, kind of a down year schedule-wise. But as others have pointed out, the upcoming schedules in the near future look to be quite challenging which will be great. I look forward to some great games :)

I do not apologize for OSU's schedule this year. I know the media will bash it but hell who else is playing Texas, USC, Miami, Va. Tech, in home and home out of conference matchups? Answer is simple - NOONE.

The last two years OSU has had the marquee out of conference game of the year. They will not this year but the next two years they will again with USC. So that makes OSU having the best non-conference matchup in 4 of 5 years. Again who else can claim that - NOONE!

Sorry Florida, FSU is no longer a legitmate powerhouse. FSU is the most overrated program in the past 5 years. EVERY year ranked in the top 10 at some point and EVERY year finishing with 4-5 losses. I know I know "they are young and inexperienced" I hear that every year as well.

Ummm...many teams in the ACC play Miami and Va Tech every year?!? Texas is a poser and you don't play Miami until like 2010?!?! I guess you need to find a 'story' for OSU anywhere you can, do you work for the media relations department??:head:

Let's see, FSU is "overrated"....two years ago #22 ranked FSU took #3 ranked Penn State (the best team in the Big 10 that year...) to multiple OT's before they finally won the game because FSU couldn't kick a field goal. The 'meanest' linebacker in the Big 10 (Pos...) hasn't been a factor in NCAA football since that game, once he was slapped around by FL boys he realized he wasn't that good and lost his confidence.

Last year UCLA b!tch-slapped USC on national TV when they had an undeserving free ride to the championship game, USC then b!tch-slapped Michigan (who OSU needed another ref call to win against:stir ) in their bowl game and then FSU b!tch-slapped UCLA in the bowl game in California.

Bobby Bowden's biggest mistake was trying to give his son a chance to run FSU's offense, you come play in the ACC a few weeks and we'll be talking about a 7-5 season for OSU.

The most overrated football program in NCAA is OSU, not sure if you watched their bowl game in January but just like the UF players said, "..we played five or six better teams in the regular season..".

41-14, an excellent measure of the athletes on the field - not the coaches.:mock

Nice to know OSU is willing to whore their academic 'credibility' (which is legacy based anyway) to become the NBA's community college. I hear Oden was taking 'history of rock and roll' and 'sociology' for 5 college credits each and then getting 2 for playing basketball - niiiice.:thumb

Ol' "No gradda" Madda's program is a joke, try again.

It would great if Florida could place one player before the TV cameras that was functionally literate.

As for lasting long in the pros, how did the *fun-n-gun with all of the ex-gaytors coached by the overrated Spppppurrier turn out for the Redskins?

What is ESPN Gameday going to do when talking about Florida this coming season. Can Herbie proclainm that Florida is bringing all its weapons? The silence about Ronnie Wilson is deafening. Ah, gaytor football. I suppose the best that can be said is that at least Wilson didn't hit somebody after throwing a keg of beer from a balcony as happened in gaytorville.

see dub,

You're an idiot, if I may say so. You are diminishing USC for losing to UCLA. Do you Florida idiots really think you are on USC's level in football right now - after 1 good year?

Yea, alot of people play Va. Tech and Miami in the ACC BUT they do not schedule OSU or Mich. as a non-conference game - that is the point moron. You actually have a choice on your non-conference foes.

Yes FSU is overrated. I love it how people use the "they beat this team by such and such so they would beat this team". You know the argument you used with FSU taking PSU to OT but still losing. If that is the case - Florida needed a blocked FG at home to beat an AVERAGE So. Carolina team at home. Nice argument.

Bottom line is Florida got handed a national championship in football this year. OSU came in down because they already had their emotional high vs. Michigan. Florida, realizing that 11-1 isn't that special even in the SEC, realized they had a chance to steal the championship and that's what they did. Even Mike Tyson got KO'd by Buster Douglas when Tyson was out of shape and not focused, but I'd imagine if they had that fight again it would go much differently. Get the picture? Stay on your own forum FL troll, you guys got lucky this season, and won't be making any return trips for quite some time unless maybe you hit the lottery once again and get in as a one-loss team. Get back to me when you actually win a championship the hard way.

PS- UF played Western Carolina, a 1AA team. That is a joke! Conviniently, our weakest schedule in years is going to come on a down year. Hopefully the team can put some things together by week 8 when they go to Happy Valley, the Buckeyes could start 8-0 and if they do, they've got as good of a shot as anybody at making it back to the National Championship. That's more than UF can say, the entire defense is gone and they can't lean on Tebow's running ability as a crutch any longer and still expect to have a healthy starting QB. We'll see who has the better overall record and also what happens to your program when Meyer leaves you guys. My guess is it's back to multiple-loss seasons for you guys. Your school has a great coach, and they had a talented team (last year), that doesn't qualify them as a great program.

FL has built quite a basketball program, however everything that has gone right for their football program is the result of Urban Meyer, an OHIO COACH! BTW, no need to say thanks for your head coach and the sole reason for your football championship, I understand you just conviniently forgot that fact.

Secondly, UF got soooooo incredibly lucky it isn't even funny, what happened in the football game was a combination of many things, but mainly it is just the fact that when you win 19 games in a row (something Florida fans will never know anything about) you are due for a loss. On top of that, seeing how Boise State beat Oklahoma, Florida fans have no room to talk because that is proof enough that they didn't even belong in the Championship game in the first place. 11-1 in the regular season is good, but not championship good. If the NCAA was in the business of being fair, Florida would be playing in the Sugar Bowl where they should have been. The fact of the matter is, UF got in because the NCAA would never put BSU in and because some computer that has been way off before spit out some numbers and UF hit the proverbial jackpot. The fact of the matter is, as a program UF still isn't on OSU's level and won't be for another 20-30 years or so when they've got as many national championships and undefeated seasons. Once Meyer leaves, and that time could be soon, the program will be back to 8-4 seasons all over again and all the trash talking from UF fans will be for nothing.
