WOW! I listened to those three last night and couldn't believe how BAD that game will be called.
Thom Brenneman is a pretty good announcer, but Alvarez and the other joker should not be calling the most important game of the season. As much as I hate ESPN, their crew is far better than anyone Fox can stick in the booth (except maybe Buck, but he's all NFL). Did anyone else notice this in the BCS Selection Show??

Who cares who ias announcing the game as Long as The Buckeyes play well! To me it doesn't really matter I find myself arguing with any and all of them who announce the Buckeye games. This just gives me a new groupo of commentators to call idiots and masters of the obvious etc. etc. GO BUCKEYES!!

I agree that the announcing is going to be atrocious, and it is a shame, but that's what you get when you have a network signed on to carry the BCS when they carry zero games throughout the season in order to practice. I don't understand haveing the AD of Wisconsin as an announcer???

It was stated last night by Chris Rose that Charles Davis (from TBS) had a touch of laryngitis on the BCS selection show. However, as I've watched TBS games all year, I have noticed that the so-called laryngitis he had last night has been his voice all year long. He constantly is clearing his throat and does not possess an authoritative voice. If he doesn't clear this issue up, it will be a distraction during the NC game.
Speaking of CHRIS ROSE, is he an OSU grad??

He's originally from Ohio; I believe he attended Miami University.

Agree, I think this will be the worst called NC Game ever. Owell, I will try to listen as little as possible by jumping up and down and making neighbors around hate me.

Thom Brenneman and Barry Alverez: an Ohio guy and a Big Ten guy calling the game. I like it.

I will like what they have to say about The Ohio State in the game. I think people are sad about this is because they seem like they would announce a very boring game. I could see it now with Ginn catching a 55 yard TD pass and the announcers not even getting loud for the play.
"O Barry, that was a good Catch"
"Yes, Very good indeed"

Fox has lined up some of the worst announcing teams in recent memory.
Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long, both part of the NFL on Fox Sunday pre-game show analyst team, will join play-by-play man Kenny Albert for the Jan. 3 Allstate Sugar Bowl game on Fox. The game is one of the college Bowl Championship Series games on Fox for the first time this season.
The other BCS bowl announcing team will include college analysts Pat Haden and Terry Donahure, along with announcer Matt Vasgersian, who will do the Fedex Orange Bowl on January 2.
Long will be doing actual live game analysis for the first time, while Bradshaw last did it for CBS in 1989. Donahue is currently doing Fox NFL regular season games as an analyst, while Haden handles analyst duties for NBC's coverage of Notre Dame games.
